Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Hennepin County

Hennepin County, MN

Southeast Maple Grove — south of Weaver Lake Road, east of Fernbrook Lane — is where most of our stairlift installs happen. The 1970s-through-1990s split-levels and colonials here have the classic half-flight entries and 13-tread carpeted runs that families bought 30 to 45 years ago. Weaver Lake north of 85th Avenue has larger lots and the 90° landing turns that need curved rails. Arbor Lakes townhomes near the Main Street district install fast with HOA reasonable-accommodation packets we prepare at no charge. Rush Creek and Evanswood in the northwest are post-2010 new construction with wide stairs and quick installs. We also cover Plymouth, Brooklyn Park, Osseo, Champlin, Dayton, and Corcoran at the same pricing.

1985 southeast Maple Grove colonial — straight rail on dark oak open treads

Southeast Maple Grove, MN Installed March 2026

A 1985 colonial two-story on a tree-lined cul-de-sac south of Weaver Lake Road with 13 dark hardwood oak treads rising to the upper bedrooms — open-tread construction with the warm honey-brown finish original to the house. Mrs. Gustafson had been sleeping in the main floor den for three weeks after a knee replacement at Maple Grove Hospital because the stairs were off-limits. Her son called us from Colorado on a Monday. We laser-measured the 14-foot straight run, confirmed the solid oak treads would hold the mounting hardware without splitting, and installed Thursday. The beige seat parks at the bottom landing, flush against the wall. Cold-pack battery rated to -30°F standard. Mrs. Gustafson slept in her own bedroom Thursday night.

1978 Weaver Lake split-level — curved rail through a 90° landing turn

Weaver Lake, MN Installed February 2026

A 1978 split-level north of 85th Avenue in the Weaver Lake neighborhood. Six steps from the front entry to the living area, a 90° landing, then nine more steps to the bedrooms. Mr. Lindstrom retired from Medtronic's Fridley campus in 2019 and has lived in this house since 1986. We laser-scanned the full staircase on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that carries him from the entry to the upper hallway in one continuous ride, and installed a swivel-exit seat so he steps off onto hallway carpet instead of balancing on the top tread. The brown upholstered seat parks at the upper landing beside the framed art on the wall. One ride, zero transfers.

Arbor Lakes townhome — compact staircase near wooden sideboard, stone-tile treads

Arbor Lakes, MN Installed January 2026

A 2003 townhome near the Arbor Lakes Main Street district with stone-tile treads, a wooden sideboard with a potted plant at the bottom landing, and a compact traditional staircase. Mrs. Henning wanted the lift working before her daughter's family drove up from Rochester for a January visit. The slim-profile rail and brown upholstered seat tuck against the wall in the narrow passage. The rail bolts into the stone treads with masonry anchors — no damage to the tile finish. Cold-pack battery rated to -30°F installed standard. She called the following week to say it was the best decision she'd made all year.

Outdoor

Southeast Maple Grove raised entry — outdoor lift on rough stone paving steps

Southeast Maple Grove, MN Installed November 2025

A 1982 raised-entry rambler in southeast Maple Grove with seven rough natural stone paving steps from the driveway to the front door — steps that become an ice rink from November through April. Mr. Carlson is a veteran enrolled at the Minneapolis VA Health Care System. We prefilled VA Form 10-0103, his VA primary care provider wrote the prescription within three weeks, and the HISA grant covered $6,800 of the cost. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat rides along the stone entry, and every outdoor component is cold-rated to -30°F with an IP55 sealed motor housing. He rode it through the full winter without a single service call.

Elm Creek colonial — straight rail on carpeted stairs at the landing

Elm Creek, MN Installed December 2025

A 1992 colonial near Elm Creek Park Reserve with carpeted stairs and a landing area. The brown upholstered seat matches the carpet tones — Mrs. Andersen was clear the lift 'cannot look like medical equipment in my front hall.' The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath, and the chair parks at the landing near the wall-mounted light switches. The tiled floor at the bottom of the landing stays clear when the footrest folds up. Her book club met the following Saturday and two women sat on the stairs without noticing the lift. Cold-pack battery rated to -30°F because the staircase runs along an exterior wall.

Platform Lift

Rush Creek home — indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Rush Creek, MN Installed October 2025

A 2019 two-story in the Rush Creek subdivision where grandmother's second-floor bedroom suite was built from the start, but a hip fracture made the stairs impossible for her wheelchair. A seated stairlift was not an option — she needed the chair to travel with her. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on every threshold, white handrails, and pictogram controls so she operates it independently without English. The orange-tinted walls of the stairwell frame the unit beside a window that floods the ride with natural light. She rolls on, presses one button, and exits on the upper floor without leaving her chair.

Common Questions

Everything Maple Grove Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Maple Grove right now?

Straight rails in standard Maple Grove homes — the southeast quadrant colonials, the Arbor Lakes townhomes, the Rush Creek two-stories — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most 1970s-through-1990s Weaver Lake and southeast Maple Grove split-levels with a landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor lifts for raised entries and exterior steps run $4,500 to $8,000. Every written quote includes installation, rail, seat, cold-pack battery backup rated to -30°F, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Maple Grove than in Minneapolis proper?

Equipment prices are the same across the Twin Cities — we don't inflate quotes by zip code or subdivision. What's standard on every Maple Grove install is the cold-pack battery rated to -30°F, which adds a modest hardware cost but keeps the lift running through polar vortex outages. We show you the line items upfront. No surprise surcharges.

Do Maple Grove's townhome HOAs or Arbor Lakes condos add to the cost?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. We've worked with Arbor Lakes associations, Rush Creek HOAs, and Maple Grove townhome boards. Under Minnesota Statutes Chapter 515B and the federal Fair Housing Act, boards are required to approve accessibility modifications for disabled residents. We prepare the reasonable-accommodation packet with medical-necessity letter at no charge. The rare exception is a board-required structural engineer letter. If that applies, we tell you before we start.

Do you charge extra for non-English service?

No. Every Maple Grove assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual. For Somali, Hmong, and other language support common in the northwest metro's immigrant communities, we coordinate interpreters through Hennepin County Senior Services at no additional charge.

A word from Luis

Most Maple Grove families call me after a winter that proves the stairs are the problem — a parent who slipped on the carpeted run in a Weaver Lake split-level during a polar vortex outage, a mother who hasn't been upstairs since her hip replacement at Maple Grove Hospital, a son in Denver worried about his parents in the southeast Maple Grove house they've lived in since the Reagan years.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
