Stairlift Service Across Larimer County

Larimer County, CO

From the historic downtown core — the West 4th Street District and West 5th Street District where 1920s Colonial Revival, Tudor Revival, and Craftsman brick bungalows line the blocks with steep, narrow stairs and original millwork — to the 1960s and 1970s ranch homes in Campion where the split-level layout with a 90° landing turn is the single most common staircase we measure, our team has mapped every neighborhood in the city.

We know which Historic Downtown addresses sit inside the city’s historic register, which Boise Village ranch homes have the walkout-basement runs causing the most falls, and which Centerra and The Lakes post-2000 homes have wider modern stairs that install in three hours flat. We also cover Berthoud, Johnstown, Windsor, Timnath, and Fort Collins at the same Larimer County rate — no travel surcharges.

1905 downtown Victorian — rail mounted without touching the original fir banister

Historic Downtown, CO Installed March 2026

A 1905 Victorian on West 4th Street in the heart of Loveland’s historic downtown. The original fir banister, segmental arch window on the landing, and heart-pine treads were non-negotiable for Mrs. Caldwell. We bolted the rail into the dark hardwood treads only, color-matched the finish to the aged fir, and positioned the beige seat at the bottom of the open-tread staircase where it’s invisible from the front hall. The lithium battery was rated for altitude — standard lead-acid would have lost too much capacity by the first hard freeze.

1972 Campion split-level — single curved rail over the 90° landing

Campion, CO Installed February 2026

A 1972 split-level ranch in Campion with five steps from the entry to the living area, a 90° landing turn, then eight more steps to the bedrooms. Two other companies told the Trujillos they’d need two separate lifts. We laser-scanned the full staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the landing, and installed a brown-upholstered swivel-exit seat that parks at the upper hallway. The entire consultation was in Spanish because that was the language Mr. Trujillo’s mother was comfortable in.

Boise Village ranch — basement-to-main-floor lift for post-knee-replacement recovery

Boise Village, CO Installed January 2026

A 1968 ranch in Boise Village with a finished walkout basement. The staircase was a compact, traditional straight run — 12 stone-look treads in a cozy space next to a wooden cabinet with a potted plant at the bottom landing. Mr. Hayward had bilateral knee replacement surgery scheduled at UCHealth Medical Center of the Rockies and needed the lift operational before he came home. We measured on Monday, installed on Thursday, and the brown-upholstered seat parks neatly at the bottom beside the sideboard.

Downtown raised porch — wind-rated outdoor lift through a Loveland winter

Historic Downtown, CO Installed December 2025

A 1910 bungalow near downtown with a raised front porch, six exterior steps, and rough natural stone paving at the entry. Sgt. Winslow is a retired Army NCO who qualified for a HISA grant through the Loveland VA outpatient clinic. The cream-colored weather-sealed seat runs along the stone-paved porch steps with natural daylight from above. We wind-anchored the rail through the first tread into the poured footer and sealed every component against Chinook wind events that funnel east off the Rockies. It ran through 47 inches of snow that winter without a service call.

Centerra two-story — straight rail on carpeted stairs for an ALS diagnosis

The Lakes at Centerra, CO Installed November 2025

A 2008 two-story in The Lakes at Centerra with wide, fully carpeted stairs and a small landing. Mr. Vogt was diagnosed with ALS and the stairs went from manageable to impossible in two months. We bolted the rail through the carpet into the treads and installed the brown-upholstered seat that blends with the carpet tones on the stairway. The seat parks at the landing near the wall-mounted light switches, and the tiled floor at the bottom provides solid footing for stepping on and off. The HOA approved it inside a week under the Fair Housing Act reasonable-accommodation process.

Platform Lift

West 5th Street — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a lifelong resident

West 5th Street District, CO Installed October 2025

Mrs. Schaefer has lived in her 1897 Edwardian brick home in the West 5th Street Historic District since 1981. After a series of falls, she transitioned to a wheelchair and needed stair access without transferring to a seat. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along her indoor stairway — a flat black anti-slip deck with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a white handrail. The orange-tinged plaster walls and the window on the landing remain untouched. The platform folds up when not in use, and Mrs. Schaefer rolls directly on and off without assistance.

Common Questions

Everything Loveland Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Loveland right now?

Straight rails in standard Loveland homes — the downtown bungalows, the Boise Village ranches, the Centerra two-stories — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. That includes the lithium battery upgrade that is baseline on every Front Range install (standard lead-acid loses 15–30% capacity at altitude). Curved rails for split-level homes in Campion and the older downtown addresses with landing turns run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor weather-sealed models for raised front porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, altitude-rated battery, and the first service visit.

Why do you spec lithium batteries instead of standard lead-acid?

Altitude and cold. At Loveland’s elevation, standard sealed lead-acid batteries lose 15–30% of their rated capacity compared to sea-level performance. Add Loveland winters — where temperatures regularly drop below 0°F and the city averages 47 inches of snow per year — and a standard battery can fail mid-ride during a January cold snap. The lithium LiFePO4 cells we install on every Larimer County stairlift maintain rated capacity at altitude and operate reliably down to -10°F. This is not an upcharge — it’s baseline because it has to be.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has worked with families across Loveland, Berthoud, and Johnstown in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for HOA installs in Centerra or The Lakes?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. Federal Fair Housing Act requires HOAs to grant reasonable accommodations for residents with documented disabilities, and Colorado’s DORA HOA Information Office backs enforcement if a board resists. We provide the accommodation-request packet at no charge. If a board requires its own engineer’s letter, we tell you before we start.

A word from Luis

Most Loveland families call me after a winter morning when the front porch steps iced over and getting to the mailbox felt dangerous — a near-fall on the steep treads of a 1905 downtown Victorian, a retired Army sergeant in Campion who hasn’t been upstairs since November, a daughter in Denver worried about her father alone in a ranch that’s been in the family since 1972.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
