Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Los Angeles County

Los Angeles County, CA

From the 1920s craftsman bungalows of California Heights and Bixby Knolls — where the conversation is always about preserving original oak treads and fitting a rail into a 27-inch stairway — to the Spanish Colonial revivals of Bluff Park where curved staircases are architectural features that cannot be altered, our team has measured every stair shape this city builds. Belmont Shore and Naples Island homes need marine-grade outdoor rails because salt air reaches the front porch. Wrigley and Los Altos post-war bungalows have the standard straight run that installs in under three hours. Signal Hill ranch splits have the six-step entry rise a compact rail handles without touching the wall. We staff dedicated coverage for surrounding harbor communities from Lakewood to Carson so you never wait on a tech driving from the Valley.

1928 California Heights craftsman — rail tucked below the original oak banister

California Heights, CA Installed March 2026

A 1928 craftsman in California Heights with original oak treads, a narrow 27-inch stair width, and dark hardwood open-tread stairs. Mrs. Yamamoto had been told by two other companies her staircase was too tight. We specified the compact-profile rail, bolted it into the hardwood treads at the bottom landing, and color-matched the finish to the aged oak. The seat sits unfolded at the bottom of the stairs, ready to ride, and folds flat when not in use.

1926 Bluff Park Spanish Colonial — curved rail around the foyer staircase

Bluff Park, CA Installed February 2026

A 1926 Spanish Colonial revival in Bluff Park with a sweeping foyer staircase and wrought-iron railing. The curved rail bends around the balustrade at the upper landing where the seat parks flush against the half-wall. Framed art on the wall and the home's upscale interior were untouched — the rail threads past the wrought-iron without contact. The Gutierrez family steps off at the top-floor hallway directly from the parked seat.

Bixby Knolls cottage — compact rail on stone-tile treads beside the sideboard

Bixby Knolls, CA Installed January 2026

A 1936 bungalow in Bixby Knolls with stone-tile treads and a cozy, compact stairwell next to a wooden sideboard with potted plants. Mrs. Chen's mother had moved in after a fall and the tight traditional layout left little clearance. We mounted the rail on the stone treads using masonry anchors, positioned the seat to park beside the cabinet at the bottom, and preserved the cottage character of the home. The compact space works because the folding seat and footrest clear the walkway completely.

Naples Island waterfront — marine-grade outdoor rail on stone-paved entry

Naples Island, CA Installed December 2025

A waterfront home on Naples Island where the existing porch railing had already pitted from salt air. The raised entry has rough natural stone paving and seven concrete steps that turned slick with marine moisture every morning. We anchored the outdoor rail into the stone-paved floor with stainless fasteners, installed the cream-colored weather-resistant seat, and sealed the motor housing against salt and coastal fog. The covered porch above protects the upper station from direct rain.

Wrigley bungalow — straight rail on carpeted stairs with matching brown upholstery

Wrigley, CA Installed November 2025

A 1940s bungalow in Wrigley with fully carpeted stairs and a landing area at the top. Luis walked Sra. Morales through every button in Spanish. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet tone on the treads, and the rail runs through the carpet into the subfloor. Wall-mounted light switches at the landing were left untouched. The swivel-exit seat rotates at the top so she steps onto the tiled hallway floor without turning on the stairs.

Platform Lift

Signal Hill — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a power-chair user

Signal Hill, CA Installed October 2025

Mr. Torres uses a power wheelchair after his stroke and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. The 1965 ranch split's indoor stairway needed a flat inclined platform — not a chair. We installed a wheelchair platform lift with a black anti-slip surface, high-visibility yellow safety edges, and a white handrail along the indoor stairway. The orange-tinted walls and window of the stairwell frame the installation. Mr. Torres rolls his wheelchair directly onto the platform and rides between floors without assistance.

Common Questions

Everything Long Beach Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Long Beach right now?

Straight rails in standard Long Beach homes — the bungalows in California Heights, the ranch splits near Signal Hill, the post-war two-stories in Wrigley — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most Bluff Park Spanish Colonials and Bixby Knolls craftsman landings, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and marine-sealed models for Belmont Shore, Naples Island, and harbor-adjacent homes run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Long Beach than other parts of LA County?

Equipment prices are the same across southern California — we don't inflate quotes for Naples Island or Bluff Park addresses. What's included as standard on every Long Beach coastal install is the marine-grade rail coating and stainless fasteners — other companies price that as a $400 add-on. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: historic woodwork preservation, tight stair widths in 1920s construction, or condo-board paperwork timelines.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Long Beach assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of families in Wrigley, Willmore City, and Central Long Beach through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Any hidden fees for condo or HOA installs?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. California's FEHA reasonable accommodation rules are stronger than federal FHA — associations must approve accessibility equipment for residents with documented disabilities. We've worked with condo associations in Belmont Shore, the Alamitos Bay towers, and downtown Long Beach loft conversions. The accommodation-request documents are already templated.

A word from Luis

Most Long Beach families call me after a fall that could have been prevented — a slip on the tile stairs in a Belmont Shore bungalow, a parent who hasn't been upstairs in months after a hip replacement, a daughter in Portland worried about her mother alone in a California Heights craftsman. The VA Long Beach campus sends me referrals almost weekly. My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
