Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Craighead County

Craighead County, AR

From the turn-of-the-century homes along South Main Street and the West End — where original hardwood treads and narrow stairwells require our slimmest rail catalog — to the 1970s split-level ranches in Valley View and Nettleton with mid-landing 90° turns that demand custom curved rails, our team has mapped every staircase type across Craighead County. Briarwood ridge homes on Crowley's Ridge loess soil often have treads that have settled unevenly over decades, requiring shimmed rail brackets. Hilltop and Rankins Oak Forest homes from the 1950s typically have wide formal stairs that install in under four hours. Newer construction along Highland Drive runs fast on standard-geometry treads.

Briarwood ridge home — straight rail on settled Crowley's Ridge treads

Briarwood, AR Installed March 2026

A 1958 ranch on Briarwood Drive sitting on Crowley's Ridge loess soil. Mrs. Caldwell is 81 and had been sleeping in a recliner since January after her second knee replacement at St. Bernards. The stair treads had settled a quarter-inch on the east side from decades of ridge-soil compression. We shimmed the rail brackets to compensate, bolted the track into the existing oak treads, and tested the full run with Mrs. Caldwell aboard before leaving. She slept in her own bedroom that night for the first time in two months.

Valley View split-level — curved rail through a 90-degree landing turn

Valley View, AR Installed February 2026

A 1974 split-level ranch in Valley View with a mid-landing 90-degree turn. Two other companies told the Dunlaps they needed two separate lifts. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a single curved rail that bends around the half-wall at the upper landing, and installed a swivel-exit seat so Mrs. Dunlap steps off onto the hallway floor instead of the top tread. The chair parks flush at the upper landing, clearing the bedroom doorway completely.

South Main Street — rail matched to 1920s oak in a Craftsman bungalow

West End / South Main, AR Installed January 2026

A 1923 Craftsman bungalow on South Main Street with original oak treads and a hand-turned newel post. The stairwell was 30 inches wide — tight, but workable with a slim-profile rail and a folding seat that leaves 20 inches of clearance when parked. We color-matched the rail finish to the existing oak grain, bolted the track directly into the treads near a wooden sideboard in the compact entryway, and ran the wiring inside the baseboard chase.

Nettleton raised porch — weather-sealed outdoor lift on stone-paved entry

Nettleton, AR Installed December 2025

A 1960s ranch in Nettleton with a raised front porch and stone-paved entry steps. Mr. Whitfield is a Vietnam veteran who qualified for a HISA grant through the Jonesboro VA Clinic on Highland Drive. The cream-colored weather-sealed seat sits at the stone paving at ground level and carries him up to the covered porch landing. The lift is sealed against Arkansas humidity, UV-coated for summer sun, and has a debris guard on the rail for the pecan shells that drop from the tree overhead.

Highland Drive two-story — carpeted stairs, same-week install

Highland Drive area, AR Installed November 2025

A 1990s two-story on Highland Drive with a wide carpeted staircase and a landing area at the midpoint. Mrs. Ragsdale had knee replacement surgery scheduled at St. Bernards the following Monday and needed the lift operational before she came home. We measured on Wednesday and installed on Friday — three hours start to finish. The rail bolts through the carpet into the treads below, and the brown upholstery blends with the carpet tones. The seat folds flat against the wall when not in use.

Platform Lift

Jonesboro ranch — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a veteran

Race Street area, AR Installed October 2025

A 1976 ranch off Race Street where Mr. Tate, a veteran and full-time wheelchair user, had been confined to the ground floor for three years. A seated stairlift was not an option because he cannot transfer safely from the wheelchair. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway with a flat black anti-slip platform, high-visibility yellow safety edges along the perimeter, and a white handrail. The keyed lockout prevents the grandchildren from operating it unsupervised. Mr. Tate qualified for a VA HISA grant through the Jonesboro VA Clinic.

Common Questions

Everything Jonesboro Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Jonesboro right now?

Straight rails in standard Jonesboro homes — the Valley View and Nettleton ranches, the newer construction along Highland Drive, the Hilltop two-stories — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for 1970s split-level entries in Valley View, mid-landing turns in Briarwood ridge homes, and the older West End staircases with upper-landing curves run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Jonesboro than Little Rock?

Equipment prices are identical statewide — we do not mark up quotes based on zip code. What can vary slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: compensating rail mounts for ridge-soil settlement in the older Briarwood and West End homes, curved rail fabrication for Valley View split-levels, or electrical work in pre-1960s homes with original wiring that cannot support the stairlift's peak draw. We itemize every cost on the written quote. No hidden surcharges.

Is a used or refurbished stairlift worth considering?

We sell certified refurbished straight rails starting around $2,000 installed — same warranty, same battery backup, same service plan as new. The refurbished option works well for the standard-geometry straight runs in newer Jonesboro homes and the Nettleton and Highland Drive neighborhoods. Curved rails are always new because they are fabricated to your exact staircase measurements. We bring both options to the home assessment so you can compare side by side.

Do you charge extra for homes out toward Paragould or Trumann?

No travel surcharge inside our northeast Arkansas coverage area — that includes Brookland, Bay, Bono, Trumann, Lake City, and Paragould. The quote you receive at the kitchen table is the quote you pay at install. If your home is outside this radius, we tell you the travel cost upfront before scheduling the assessment.

A word from Luis

Northeast Arkansas calls come in two flavors. One is the ridge — Briarwood, Hilltop, the older homes along South Main Street where the houses sit on Crowley's Ridge loess soil and the staircases have been settling since the 1940s. The other is the flatland sprawl out toward Valley View and Nettleton, where 1970s and 1980s ranches and split-levels were built for young families, not for the parents still in them four decades later.

Both get the same first step: I drive to your house within 24 hours, measure the staircase with a laser, and leave a written price on your kitchen table before I go.
