Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Bonneville County

Bonneville County, ID

From the Numbered Streets east of the Snake River — where the conversation is always about 1940s–1960s stair widths, original pine treads, and steep basement steps built for younger knees — to Sunnyside where post-war ranches and split-levels dominate, our team has measured every stair shape Idaho Falls builds. We know which Lincoln homes have the narrow 28-inch stairwells that need the compact-profile rail, which Westside ranches have raised front porches with seven exterior steps that need an outdoor lift before the first freeze, and which Ammon and Sand Creek two-stories have the standard 2000s geometry that installs in under three hours. The Idaho Falls metro extends east to Ammon, south to Shelley, and north to Rexburg — we staff dedicated eastern Idaho coverage so your tech is never driving from Boise.

1958 Numbered Streets ranch — compact rail on original pine treads

Numbered Streets, ID Installed March 2026

A 1958 ranch on 17th Street with original pine treads and a 29-inch stair width leading from the main floor down to a finished basement where Mr. Andersen's workshop is. Mrs. Andersen's first concern was the narrow width — she needed her grandchildren to pass safely while the lift was parked. We fitted the compact-profile rail with a folding footrest that tucks flat against the wall and left 18 inches of clear passage on the non-rail side. The beige seat sits parked at the bottom of the dark hardwood stairs, ready to go.

90° landing turn in a 1971 Sunnyside split-level

Sunnyside, ID Installed February 2026

A 1971 split-level in Sunnyside with six steps from the foyer to the main living level, a mid-landing with a 90° turn, then eight more steps up to the bedrooms. We laser-scanned the staircase, fabricated a curved rail that carries you from bottom to top in one continuous ride, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the upper landing so Mrs. Sorensen steps off onto the hallway floor. The brown-upholstered seat now parks at the upper floor near the chandelier, the curved rail bending smoothly around the half-wall.

Westside cottage — straight rail tucked beside the sideboard

Westside, ID Installed January 2026

A compact 1952 cottage on the Westside with stone-topped treads and a narrow stairwell that barely fits a person and a handrail side by side. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the bottom next to a wooden sideboard with a potted plant — Mrs. Larsen didn't want any furniture moved. We bolted the straight rail into the stone treads using masonry anchors, routed the wiring along the baseboard, and left 16 inches of walking clearance on the open side. The traditional cottage feel of the home is completely preserved.

Ammon front porch — outdoor lift on stone-paved entry steps

Ammon, ID Installed December 2025

A raised front porch entry in Ammon where Mr. Nakamura needed a weather-resistant lift to get from the stone-paved walkway up to the front door. The rough natural stone paving at the base and carpeted outdoor treads made standard mounting impossible — we used masonry anchors rated for freeze-thaw cycling and sealed every bracket against eastern Idaho's -20°F winters. The cream-colored seat sits at the bottom of the porch steps in full daylight, weather-sealed and ready year-round.

Lincoln neighborhood — straight rail on carpeted basement stairs

Lincoln, ID Installed November 2025

A 1953 home in the Lincoln neighborhood where Mrs. Brennan's bedroom, laundry, and TV room are all in the finished basement — 14 steep carpeted steps from the kitchen down. The brown-upholstered seat blends with the carpet tones on the landing. We bolted through the carpet into the subfloor below, ran the rail tight to the wall past the light switches, and left the tiled floor at the bottom clear for foot traffic. Mrs. Brennan now rides from the kitchen to the basement four times a day.

Platform Lift

Sand Creek — indoor wheelchair platform lift for full-time chair user

Sand Creek, ID Installed October 2025

A two-story home in Sand Creek where Mr. Holm uses a wheelchair full-time after a spinal injury and cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface and bright yellow high-visibility safety edges along the platform border. The white handrail guides along the indoor stairway wall. Mr. Holm rolls his chair onto the platform at the bottom, presses the control, and rides to the upper floor without leaving his wheelchair. No transfers, no assistance needed.

Common Questions

Everything Idaho Falls Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Idaho Falls right now?

Straight rails in standard Idaho Falls homes — the ranches on the Numbered Streets, the two-stories in Sunnyside, the newer builds in Ammon — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, needed for split-level ranches with landing turns across Sunnyside, Ammon, and the Westside, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front porches and exterior concrete steps run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, cold-weather-rated battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Idaho Falls prices different from Boise or Twin Falls?

Equipment prices are the same statewide — we don't inflate quotes based on zip code. What's included as standard in every Idaho Falls install is the cold-weather LiFePO4 battery rated to -20°F, which national chains often price as a $300–$400 add-on. That battery prevents the winter no-start calls that are the single biggest service issue in eastern Idaho. The only cost variable is unusually complex geometry — a three-run split-level with two landings will cost more than a straight shot — and we show you the line items upfront.

Does Idaho's Aged & Disabled Waiver cover the full cost?

The Idaho Medicaid A&D Waiver covers stairlifts as home modifications under a $6,000 lifetime cap. That covers most straight-rail installs — equipment, labor, battery, and the first service visit. Curved rails and outdoor models usually exceed the cap, leaving $3,000–$9,000 out-of-pocket. Eligibility requires Idaho residency, age 65+ or adult disability, Medicaid-eligible income, and a DHW assessment at nursing-facility level of care. The entry point is Idaho CareLine at 1-877-200-5441. We prepare the modification justification packet for your DHW Care Coordinator — that's the step most families get stuck on.

Do you offer financing if I don't qualify for the waiver or HISA?

Yes — three lending partners with 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans from $79/month. Application is a soft credit pull (no hit to your score), takes about 4 minutes, and approval is usually instant. The most common Idaho Falls scenario is a family that uses the $6,000 A&D Waiver cap for the rail and seat, then finances the remaining labor and battery upgrade. We run the numbers side by side during the free assessment.

A word from Luis

Most Idaho Falls families call me after a winter — a slip on icy front steps in January, a parent who moved to the downstairs couch because the bedroom stairs felt unsafe after a knee replacement, a daughter in Boise who can't drive four hours every weekend to check on her father in a Sunnyside ranch he built in 1972.

My job is simple: get to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells.
