Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Kootenai County

Kootenai County, ID

We install across every Hayden subdivision and the rural acreage to the north. Avondale on Hayden blends suburban and semi-rural lots — the older lakefront cottages above Berven Bay typically need a curved rail around the original brick chimney. Strawberry Fields, built 2006-2010, has 364 homes with standard straight runs ideal for a slim DC rail. Hayden Canyon craftsmans on Government Way feature wider treads and modern banisters that take a slim aluminum rail cleanly. Honeysuckle Glade and the homes off Honeysuckle Beach lean rural, with a mix of single-story ranches and split-entry homes. English Point Heights is family and retiree heavy — straight rails dominate. Emerald Estates sits on larger view lots with longer runs. We also serve Coeur d'Alene, Hayden Lake, Rathdrum, and Dalton Gardens from the same Hayden dispatch.

Common Questions

Everything Hayden Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Hayden, Idaho?

Straight rails on a typical Hayden Canyon or Strawberry Fields staircase start at $2,800 installed. Curved rails for the older Avondale on Hayden cottages with chimney turns start at $9,000 because each rail is custom-fabricated. Outdoor units for the porches above Hayden Lake start at $4,000. We give a written, fixed price after the in-home measurement — no estimate by phone.

Are there hidden fees Hayden homeowners should watch for?

Our quote includes lift, rail, install, removal of any old equipment, and the first-year service plan. The City of Hayden does not charge a permit fee for plug-in interior stairlifts. If you live in a Strawberry Fields HOA or one of the Hayden Canyon CCR-bound subdivisions, we draft the architectural review board letter at no extra cost.

Can I finance a stairlift instead of paying upfront?

Yes. Financing partner offers terms starting at $79/month with no prepayment penalty. Soft credit pull does not affect your score. We can also coordinate with HSA, FSA, or Section 213(d) plans, and the cost is deductible as a medical expense if your doctor writes a letter of medical necessity.

What ongoing maintenance does a Hayden install need?

One annual service visit — vacuum the rail, check battery voltage, lubricate the drive gear, test the safety sensors. Year one is included. After that it is $150/year. North Idaho winters bring a lot of dust off the snowmelt and the annual rail clean genuinely matters here, especially for outdoor units.

A word from Luis

I have been measuring stairs in Hayden and across Kootenai County for over 15 years. The town is a mix you do not see anywhere else — original 1950s lake cabins above Hayden Lake, the big custom craftsmans in Hayden Canyon, and the rural 5-acre parcels north of Wyoming Avenue with detached shops and outbuildings.

That mix matters because Hayden winters are cold, and seasonal cabins shut down water in October. I install rails that survive the freeze-thaw, and I winterize the outdoor units before the first hard frost. Honeysuckle Glade and Strawberry Fields homes built 2006 to 2010 mostly have standard 14-step runs — straight rail, in and out in 3 hours. The older Avondale on Hayden cottages need custom curved rails because the staircases turn around brick chimneys. Call me. I drive over from Coeur d'Alene the same day.
