Stairlift Service Across Middlesex County

Middlesex County, MA

From the Campanelli ranch blocks of Saxonville and North Framingham — where split-level landings often rule out a straight rail — to the pre-war colonials and Victorians of Framingham Centre along Edgell Road, our crew has mapped every neighborhood. We know which Nobscot estates have the wide formal staircase that installs in three hours, which South Framingham triple-deckers along Waverly Street have the narrow 32-inch runs needing our slim-profile rail, and which Saxonville mill conversions have original timber stairs that anchor differently. We also staff dedicated coverage for Natick, Ashland, Southborough, Wayland, Marlborough, and Sudbury — no scheduling delays, no travel surcharges.

1953 Saxonville Campanelli ranch — masonry anchors into a concrete-slab split-level

Saxonville, MA Installed March 2026

A 1953 Campanelli ranch on Danforth Street — the same floor plan that was built by the thousands across postwar Framingham. Six concrete steps from the family room to the bedroom level, poured slab construction, and thin carpet over masonry treads. The first installer the family called showed up with wood screws. We showed up with a rotary hammer and stainless sleeve anchors rated for shear, drilled the pilots in 35 minutes, and bolted the rail directly into solid concrete. The entire consultation with Mrs. Souza happened in Portuguese — her daughter translated for us on the first call, but Luis handled the walkthrough himself. She rides it three times a day.

1887 Framingham Centre Victorian — curved rail past an original walnut newel

Framingham Centre, MA Installed February 2026

An 1887 Queen Anne Victorian on Edgell Road with a carved walnut newel post and a 90° landing turn halfway up to the second floor. Mrs. Atherton’s first sentence on the phone was about the banister — her grandfather installed it during a 1920s renovation and the family has maintained it ever since. We laser-scanned the staircase on day one, fabricated a curved rail that threads past the newel with two inches of clearance, and bolted the track into the existing treads only. The walnut is untouched. Her neighbor walked through the front hall during a Framingham Centre Common holiday tour and didn’t notice the lift until Mrs. Atherton pointed it out.

Nobscot colonial — straight rail on wide oak treads, four-hour install

Nobscot, MA Installed January 2026

A 1974 colonial on a Nobscot cul-de-sac with a wide formal staircase — 36-inch treads, solid oak, a clean straight run from the foyer to the second-floor landing. The kind of install that goes fast. Dr. Reddy had a knee replacement scheduled for the following month at MetroWest Medical Center and wanted the lift running before he came home. We measured on Monday, installed on Thursday, and he rode it from the front door to the bedroom hallway the day he was discharged. Four hours from first anchor to final test.

Raised granite porch entry — cold-weather outdoor lift through a New England winter

Framingham Centre, MA Installed December 2025

A 1920s colonial with a raised front porch and seven granite steps that 90 winters of road salt had pitted badly. The rough stone paving at the base and the carpeted outdoor tread at the bottom made for a textbook outdoor install. Mr. Brennan is a Korean War-era veteran who qualified for a HISA grant through the VA Bedford Medical Center. We anchored the cream weather-resistant seat rail into the stone, sealed every motor housing against New England salt and ice, and positioned a keyed call station at the driveway level. The cold-pack battery is rated to -10°F. It ran through the entire 2025–2026 winter — including a February ice storm that shut down Route 9 — without a service call.

South Framingham triple-decker — straight rail on carpeted treads, Portuguese walkthrough

South Framingham, MA Installed November 2025

Sra. Oliveira’s 1912 triple-decker on Waverly Street has carpeted stairs running 13 feet up from the first-floor landing to her second-floor apartment. The brown carpet covers every tread, and the brown-upholstered seat blends right in. We bolted the straight rail through the carpet into the wood subfloor beneath, positioned the chair so it parks at the landing without blocking the passage for the third-floor tenants, and walked Sra. Oliveira through every button in Portuguese. Wall-mounted light switches stayed clear of the rail path. She called us back a week later to say the grandchildren had figured out the folding footrest on their own. Tudo funcionando perfeitamente, she said.

Platform Lift

Indoor wheelchair platform lift — for a North Framingham veteran who uses a wheelchair

North Framingham, MA Installed October 2025

Mr. Flanagan is a wheelchair user who cannot transfer to a seated stairlift. Their 1961 split-level on a rolling North Framingham hill has an interior stairway with warm-toned walls and a window at the landing. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat black anti-slip surface and high-visibility yellow safety edges along the platform border, plus a white handrail for the standing attendant. The platform carries Mr. Flanagan and his chair from the foyer to the upper hallway in a single ride — no transfers, no stepping onto a landing. The VA HISA grant through VA Bedford covered $6,800 of the total cost.

Common Questions

Everything Framingham Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Framingham right now?

Straight rails in standard Framingham homes — the Campanelli ranches across Saxonville and North Framingham, the post-1960 colonials along Route 9, the two-family homes in South Framingham — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you’ll need for most pre-war Framingham Centre colonials and the split-level ranches with a mid-landing turn, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and cold-weather-sealed models for raised entries and porch steps run $4,200 to $7,800 with the New England cold-pack battery included. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes the rail, seat, battery backup, installation, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Framingham than in Boston proper?

Equipment prices are the same across Massachusetts — we don’t inflate quotes based on your zip code. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: knob-and-tube wiring in pre-1920 Framingham Centre homes that forces a plug-in unit instead of hardwire, concrete-slab anchor work on Campanelli ranches where we need masonry anchors instead of wood screws, and the occasional Framingham Historic District Commission filing for an exterior porch lift on a contributing structure in the Centre Common Historic District. We tell you the line items before you sign.

Do you charge extra for a Portuguese-language consultation?

No. Every Framingham assessment can be conducted in Portuguese at your request — Luis is trilingual and has walked dozens of South Framingham families through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Portuguese and Spanish. Zero surcharge. For the Brazilian community along Waverly Street, Hollis Street, and Concord Street, it’s how every conversation should happen.

Any hidden fees for a condo or two-family install?

Our quote includes the trustee or landlord paperwork we handle for you. Framingham has a substantial multi-family housing stock — two-families and triple-deckers across South Framingham, condominiums along Route 9 and in the Nobscot corridor — and Massachusetts General Laws Chapter 151B requires reasonable accommodation for disabled residents. We prepare the accommodation packet with medical-necessity letter template at no charge. If a condo board requires its own engineer’s letter, we tell you before we start.

A word from Luis

Most Framingham families call me after the same moment — a parent who stopped going upstairs in a Nobscot colonial because the oak treads got slippery after waxing, a father in Saxonville who moved his bedroom to the den rather than face the split-level landing, a daughter in New York who found out her mother in South Framingham has been sleeping in the recliner since Thanksgiving.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that’s honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. Falamos português também — metade das minhas ligações em Framingham são em português.
