Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Union County

Union County, AR

We install across El Dorado from the Mahony Historic District's 1920s Craftsman and four-square homes — where the original oak treads and tight newel posts need tread-face mounting — down through Murphy-Hill's turn-of-the-century residential streets north of the Union County Courthouse. The Country Club area off Shady Side Street has ranch builds with shorter straight runs and carpeted treads that need a backer plate. The South Side Park District around South Jackson Avenue and Pecan Street mixes mid-century cottages with newer 1980s ranch infill. East El Dorado near Northwest Avenue has the mid-century ranch stock typical of post-oil-boom buildout. Country Club Colony and Country Club Terrace are the two named subdivisions we see most often. We also cover Smackover, Norphlet, and Junction City on the same weekly route.

Common Questions

Everything El Dorado Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in El Dorado, AR?

A standard straight install in the 71730 runs $2,800 to $4,200 fully installed, including rail, seat, battery backup, and haul-away. Curved rails for Mahony and Murphy-Hill historic homes average $9,000 to $12,500 because the rail is custom-fabricated to the turn angle. Outdoor units start at $4,000.

Can El Dorado homeowners finance a stairlift?

Yes — 0% APR financing from $79/month on approved credit covers the full install with no down payment. We also stack payments with HISA grants and ARChoices waiver funding when a veteran or qualifying senior is using multiple sources.

Are there extra fees for the historic Mahony or Murphy-Hill homes?

No historic-district surcharge. We do add a $150 custom bracket fee for 1920s homes where the original plaster behind the stair trim is too soft to hold standard mounting screws — the bracket pushes through to the stud behind.

Can I get a written quote before I commit?

Every El Dorado quote is itemized and sent by email within 48 hours of the in-home measurement. The price is fixed at signing — no upcharges during install.

A word from Luis

El Dorado stairs tell you the history of the house. Up in Mahony and Murphy-Hill you see the 1920s oil-boom craftsmanship — long-run oak treads, original cast-iron balusters, sometimes a built-in sideboard at the base of the stair. Those homes need the rail bolted to the tread face, not the wall, because the plaster behind the trim is soft and 100 years old. I've done enough of them to know which brackets grip and which ones pull out.

Out by the Country Club and the newer ranch subdivisions on the west side of Highway 82, the stairs are shorter and straighter but the treads are carpeted over thin plywood. Those jobs need a longer mounting screw and a tread-face backer plate so the rail stays flush after a winter freeze-thaw cycle. I carry both kits on the truck. Nobody from Little Rock is going to know that detail — it's a south Arkansas-specific install problem.

— Luis Ramírez, El Dorado
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

El Dorado homes weren't built alike — the Mahony four-squares, the Murphy-Hill craftsmans, and the post-war ranches off West Hillsboro each need a different mounting strategy. Every quote we write starts with an in-home stair measurement so the rail spec matches the house, not a catalog average.

Book a free home visit and Luis will walk your stairs, measure the tread material, and give you a written fixed-price quote within 48 hours. Most El Dorado straight installs are done in 3 to 4 hours.
