Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Harford County

Harford County, MD

We install across every Edgewood pocket, from the Bush River waterfront to the APG-adjacent townhome rows. Willoughby Woods and Edgewood Meadows are the mid-century ramblers — straight 13-tread runs, brick-over-wood treads, straight rails dominate. Magnolia Woods and Magnolia Estates are the condo and townhouse clusters where 180-degree turn stairs need a curved rail. The tidal-inlet homes along Otter Point Creek and near Flying Point Park see salt-air exposure, so we spec marine-grade covers there. Edgewood also serves the Aberdeen Proving Ground workforce along US Route 40.

Common Questions

Everything Edgewood Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Edgewood, MD?

A straight rail on a Willoughby Woods rambler starts at $2,800 installed. A curved rail for the 180-turn Magnolia Woods townhouse stair starts at $9,000. Outdoor units for Bush River waterfront homes start at $4,000, and heavy-duty 600 lb units start at $5,050. Every Edgewood quote is fixed before we start.

Are there hidden fees on a stairlift in Edgewood?

No. Our Edgewood quote includes the rail, chair, installation, a five-year warranty, and the lifetime rail warranty. The only added cost might be a Harford County permit for an outlet if your home needs a dedicated circuit — Harford County processes those in about a week.

Can I finance a stairlift in Edgewood, MD?

Yes. Financing starts at $79 per month for a standard straight rail, with terms up to 60 months. Maryland veterans and APG retirees also qualify for VA HISA grants that reduce the financed amount considerably.

Do stairlifts add resale value to an Edgewood home?

Most Edgewood buyers are APG workers or 55+ downsizers, and a stairlift is neutral at worst and a feature at best for the 55+ segment. Every rail is fully removable — the tread anchor holes patch with wood filler and become invisible after a light sanding.

A word from Luis

Edgewood splits into two kinds of homes in my measurement notebook. The mid-century ramblers in Willoughby Woods and Edgewood Meadows usually have a single straight flight of 13 brick-and-wood treads to a split-level or a half-finished basement — a 14-foot straight rail covers most of them and I can install before the morning is out.

The other half are the APG-adjacent townhouses in Magnolia Woods and off Old Edgewood Road, where the stair makes a full 180 around a center landing and the curved rail has to thread between the half-walls without brushing the banister. Those take a proper laser measurement and a three-week build, but the result is worth it. Salt-air off the Bush River also means I always specify a marine-grade finish for anything near Flying Point Park.

Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Edgewood is a split between mid-century ramblers and APG-adjacent townhouses, and each stair type has its own measurement method. We carry the 14-foot straight rails for Willoughby Woods and the curved-rail laser rigs for the Magnolia Woods 180-turns, so no stair configuration is new to us.

Call Luis directly at edgewood-md@allamericanstairlifts.com or use the quote form below. Home measurement takes about 45 minutes, most straight rails install in under four hours, and every Edgewood quote is fixed before we pick up a drill.
