Expert Stairlift Installation in Dublin, OH

Most of Dublin's colonials date to the Muirfield Village boom, and nearly all of them turn ninety degrees at a landing halfway up, which means a curved rail, not a straight one. That fit keeps you on every floor of your own home instead of forcing a move. Have me measure your staircase in person and I'll price the exact rail before you decide anything.

About Dublin

What makes Dublin different

Why a stairlift installed in Dublin, OH is planned around the way this specific community lives, not stamped out from a one-size-fits-all template.

The Local Terrain

Dublin sits on the Glaciated Allegheny Plateau with relatively flat overall topography, but numerous ravines around the Scioto River's tributaries create steep cliffs in places, and the Scioto River itself cuts deep gorges through limestone bedrock at an elevation ranging from 780 to 1,000 feet.

Homes & Housing Stock

Historic Dublin marks the site of John Sells' original 1802 land purchase, but most of the city's housing dates much later, driven by the growth of the Muirfield Village Golf Club residential subdivision that helped fuel Dublin's rapid late-20th-century suburban expansion.

The Community

Cardinal Health, headquartered in Dublin and the 15th-highest-revenue U.S. company in 2022, employs about 4,800 people locally, followed by OhioHealth (2,000) and Dublin City Schools (1,951); a 2012 estimate put median household income at $114,183, reflecting strong resident capacity for home-accessibility investment.

Common Questions

Everything Dublin Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding, no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

Why does a curved stairlift cost more in Dublin than the straight-rail price I see advertised online?

A lot of Dublin homes built during the Muirfield-era expansion have a landing partway up the staircase with a turn in it, not a single straight run. That geometry needs a curved rail custom-bent to the stairs, which costs more than a straight rail and takes longer to fabricate. If your house has that mid-flight turn, budget for curved pricing from the start rather than anchoring on a straight-rail number.

Does household income in Dublin change what people typically pay out of pocket?

A 2012 estimate put Dublin's median household income at $114,183, well above the county and state figures, and most of the installs I do here are paid for directly rather than financed. That doesn't mean funding isn't worth checking: PASSPORT (Franklin County's Medicaid HCBS waiver) can cover part of a home modification for residents 60 and older who qualify, but plenty of Dublin homeowners just pay the invoice.

Is a walkout basement staircase near the Scioto ravines priced differently than a standard flight?

Sometimes. Lots near the ravines that feed the Scioto can have steeper basement or walkout stairs than the interior staircase, because the ground drops off quickly once you're close to the river gorge. A steeper pitch usually still fits a straight rail, but it changes the track length and mounting points, so I quote it separately from the main staircase rather than assuming one price covers both.

A word from Luis
I've measured a lot of Muirfield-era colonials over the years, and the pattern repeats: a 90-degree turn at the landing halfway up, which means a curved rail, not the straight-rail quote someone got off a phone call. On lots that back up to one of the ravines cut by the Scioto, I also get calls about walkout lower-level stairs, since those grades drop fast once you're near the river, and the stairway itself is usually steeper than anything upstairs. Different job, different rail, and I tell people that up front instead of letting them guess from a generic price list.
