Stairlift Service Across Pike County

Pike County, PA

From the A-frame chalets and log cabins in Hemlock Farms to the year-round colonials along Route 209 in Dingman Township, from the lake community homes in Gold Key Lake and Saw Creek to the rural properties in Blooming Grove and Lackawaxen, we've measured stairs in every corner of Pike County. We know which Hemlock Farms chalets have the steep open-riser loft staircases, which Saw Creek homes have the tight 28-inch stairwells, and which Route 209 colonials have the non-standard tread depth that requires a custom bracket.

We cover Milford Borough, Matamoras, Westfall, Shohola, Greene Township, and every community in between — no additional travel charges.

Colonial staircase on Route 209 — beige seat on hardwood treads, original handrail preserved

Dingman Township, PA Installed March 2026

A 1990s colonial on Route 209 with a standard 36-inch-wide hardwood staircase. Mrs. Novak had been sleeping on the living room couch for two months after a knee replacement. We bolted the straight rail into the oak treads, mounted the beige-upholstered seat, and tested every sensor. She rode it to the bedroom that evening and hasn't slept downstairs since. The rail folds flat to 11 inches, leaving clear passage on the stairs for her husband.

L-shaped curved rail in a Gold Key Lake home — brown seat at the upper landing turn

Gold Key Lake, PA Installed February 2026

A lake community home in Gold Key Lake with an L-shaped staircase and a 90-degree turn at the upper landing. The original wooden banister was a family heirloom from the 1982 build. We laser-scanned the staircase, designed a curved rail that follows the exact geometry of the turn, and fabricated a single continuous track. Install day took four hours. The brown seat matches the existing woodwork and Mr. Rosenberg's mother rides it every weekend when she visits from New Jersey.

Steep loft stairs in a Hemlock Farms chalet — compact rail on open-riser treads

Hemlock Farms, PA Installed January 2026

An A-frame chalet in Hemlock Farms with a 42-degree-pitch loft staircase and open-riser treads only 30 inches wide. Two other installers had declined the job. We brought the steep-angle adjustable mount and the compact-profile rail, bolted backing plates to the treads for solid anchoring, and ran the rail from the great room floor to the loft bedroom. Folded, the seat takes up just 11 inches — enough clearance for Mr. Trevino's grandson to pass on the stairs without turning sideways.

Outdoor

Outdoor rail on raised porch steps — cream seat at a Blooming Grove veteran's home

Blooming Grove, PA Installed December 2025

A raised front porch entry in Blooming Grove with seven concrete steps that ice over every winter. Mr. Landis is a 76-year-old Vietnam veteran who lives alone. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the base of the entry, ready when he returns from errands. The freeze-proof battery has ridden through two Pike County ice storms without a single failure. The HISA grant through the Wilkes-Barre VA covered $6,800 of the cost. All hardware is galvanized and rated for northeastern Pennsylvania's 80+ annual freeze-thaw cycles.

Carpeted stairs in a Saw Creek split-level — swivel seat at the upper landing

Saw Creek, PA Installed November 2025

A 1980s split-level in Saw Creek Estates with carpeted stairs and a standard 34-inch-wide staircase. Mrs. DiCarlo's mother had fallen twice on the carpeted treads in socks. We installed a straight rail with a powered swivel seat at the upper landing so she steps off onto the hallway floor instead of balancing on the top tread. The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden substructure — no carpet removal, no damage to the pile. PA Community HealthChoices covered the full cost through the CHC waiver.

Platform Lift

Indoor platform lift with yellow safety edges for a Lackawaxen veteran in a wheelchair

Lackawaxen, PA Installed October 2025

A two-story log home in Lackawaxen Township. Mr. Wojciechowski is a disabled veteran who uses a power wheelchair full-time after a service-connected spinal injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges, white handrails, and a keyed lockout. The HISA grant covered the full $6,800 service-connected maximum, and the PA Community HealthChoices waiver covered the remaining balance. He rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Dingman Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Dingman Township?

Straight rails in standard Dingman Township homes run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails — needed for the loft staircases and L-shaped turns in many Hemlock Farms and Saw Creek homes — run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models with freeze-proof hardware run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Is there a travel surcharge for homes deep in Pike County?

No. We cover every address in Pike County — Dingman, Hemlock Farms, Lackawaxen, Shohola, Milford, Matamoras — without any travel or mileage surcharge. The quote you get at the assessment is the price you pay on install day. Pike County is part of our regular service territory and we have an installer in the Poconos corridor.

Do seasonal homes qualify for the same pricing?

Yes. Many Pike County homeowners split time between here and the metro area. We install in seasonal homes at the same price. The battery-backed motor keeps the lift charged even when the house is unoccupied for months. If you want, we can schedule a maintenance visit before your season starts — just call ahead.

Does the steep pitch on chalet loft stairs cost more?

Our adjustable-angle mount is included in every Dingman assessment kit. About one in three Pike County installs involves a steeper-than-code pitch, especially in A-frame chalets and loft conversions. No extra charge for the steep-pitch bracket. If the pitch exceeds the mount's range — extremely rare — we tell you at the assessment and suggest alternatives before you commit.

A word from Luis

Pike County families tend to call after a winter scare — black ice on the deck stairs, a fall on the way to the bedroom in a Hemlock Farms chalet, a veteran in Blooming Grove whose knees finally gave out on the split-level staircase.

I drive up from the Poconos corridor, measure your stairs the same day you call, and hand you a written quote honored for 30 days. No sales pitch. For veterans, I've handled the HISA paperwork through the Wilkes-Barre VA dozens of times — Pike County is in their catchment and the process takes 4–8 weeks.
