Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Worcester County

Worcester County, MA

From the mill-era triple-deckers along Water Street and High Street — where Clinton's original textile workers lived within walking distance of the Wachusett Reservoir dam project — to the 1950s capes and colonials in South Meadow built during the town's post-war expansion, our crew has measured staircases across every Clinton neighborhood. Sterling Street homes feature steep narrow stairs typical of New England construction before 1920. The Holder Memorial area near the town center has Victorian-era homes with ornate banisters and landing turns that require curved rails. Berlin Road's newer ranch homes and raised ranches have wider staircases that simplify straight-rail installs. The neighborhoods along Main Street between the reservoir and the town common mix two-story colonials with converted mill housing, each with its own staircase geometry.

Straight

1940s cape in South Meadow — straight rail on original hardwood treads

South Meadow, MA Installed March 2026

A 1948 cape in the South Meadow neighborhood with 13 original hardwood treads and a painted wood banister. Mrs. Gallagher had been sleeping in the first-floor den for a month after knee replacement surgery at UMass Memorial Health because the stairs were off-limits. We drove out, measured the 14-foot run with a laser, confirmed the solid treads could accept the mounting hardware without splitting, and installed the same week. The brown-upholstered seat parks flush against the wall at the bottom. Mrs. Gallagher slept in her own bedroom that night.

1910 colonial near Holder Memorial — curved rail through a 90-degree landing turn

Holder Memorial, MA Installed February 2026

A 1910 colonial near the Holder Memorial area with six steps from the front hall to the landing, a 90-degree turn, then nine more steps to the upper bedrooms. Mr. Provost is a 22-year Army veteran who has lived in this house since 1994. We laser-scanned the full run on the first visit, fabricated a single curved rail that carries him from the entry to the upper hallway without stopping, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the top. His VA provider at the Worcester VA Clinic wrote the HISA prescription, and the grant covered $6,800 of the cost. One ride, zero transfers.

Sterling Street home — straight rail on carpeted stairs beside family bookcase

Sterling Street, MA Installed January 2026

A 1960s colonial on Sterling Street with carpeted stairs and a standard 36-inch-wide staircase. The brown-upholstered seat sits at the bottom of the stairs next to the family's wooden bookcase and a framed photo Mrs. Murphy keeps by the landing. The rail bolts through the carpet into the wooden treads beneath — no carpet removal, no damage to the pile. Folded, the seat and rail take up 11 inches, leaving 25 inches of clear passage. The grandchildren who visit every weekend run past it without a second glance.

Outdoor

Berlin Road home — outdoor lift on concrete porch steps

Berlin Road, MA Installed December 2025

A home on Berlin Road with six concrete front steps that ice over every winter. Mr. Doyle had already fallen twice on the black ice before his daughter called us. The cream-colored weather-resistant seat sits at the bottom, ready when he comes home from errands. Every component is UV-stabilized, freeze-rated for Worcester County winters, and carries an IP55 seal against rain, snow, and freezing rain. The battery backup kept the lift running through two nor'easter power outages last February.

Straight

Main Street colonial — straight rail on wide treads, same-week install

Main Street, MA Installed November 2025

A colonial on Main Street with wide hardwood treads and a traditional center-hall floor plan. Mrs. Garcia's daughter called on Monday, we measured Tuesday afternoon, and the install crew arrived Thursday morning. The MassAbility Home Modification Loan Program covered the full cost as a deferred-payment loan through Worcester County. The rail mounts flush against the wall, and the swivel seat at the top lets Mrs. Garcia step off onto the upstairs landing facing the hallway. She was riding it by Thursday evening.

Platform Lift

Water Street triple-decker — inclined wheelchair platform lift with yellow safety edges

Water Street, MA Installed October 2025

A triple-decker on Water Street where Mr. Nguyen uses a power wheelchair full-time after a service-connected spinal injury. A seated stairlift was not an option — he needed to ride his chair between floors. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift along the indoor stairway: a flat black anti-slip platform with yellow high-visibility safety edges on all thresholds, white handrails, and a keyed lockout so visiting grandchildren cannot activate it unsupervised. The HISA grant covered $6,800 and the MassHealth Community Living waiver covered the remaining balance. Mr. Nguyen rolls onto the platform, presses one button, and rides the incline to the upper floor without leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Clinton Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Clinton, MA?

Straight rails in standard Clinton homes — the capes in South Meadow, the colonials along Main Street, the newer ranch homes on Berlin Road — run $3,200 to $6,250 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most Victorian landing turns near Holder Memorial and the older triple-deckers on Water Street, run $10,250 to $17,100 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor models for raised front entries and steep New England porches run $4,550 to $8,550. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are Clinton prices different from Worcester or Marlborough?

Equipment prices are the same across Massachusetts — we do not inflate or discount based on metro size. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: narrow pre-war treads in Water Street triple-deckers, Victorian landing fabrication near Holder Memorial, and the corrosion-resistant coating we spec on every Clinton install to handle New England freeze-thaw stress. Those are baseline specs, not upcharges. We list every line item on the written quote.

Is a stairlift cheaper than moving to a single-story home?

Moving costs in Worcester County — real estate commission, closing costs, packing, new deposits — typically run $25,000 to $45,000 given current home values in the Greater Boston market. A straight stairlift installs in under four hours for $3,200 to $6,250 and lets you stay in the home you have lived in for decades, in the neighborhood you know, near your doctors and your community. For most Clinton families, the stairlift costs less than the real estate commission alone.

Do you offer financing for Clinton homeowners?

Yes. We offer 12-month interest-free financing and extended terms up to 60 months starting at $90 per month for a standard straight install. Approval takes minutes during the in-home visit. We also help you stack financing with VA HISA, MassHealth waivers, or MassAbility home modification programs so you pay the lowest possible out-of-pocket.

A word from Luis

Clinton families call after a close call on the stairs — a retired Nypro plastics worker whose knees gave out after decades on the factory floor, a grandmother on Water Street whose daughters worry every time she carries laundry up the narrow treads of her 1890s triple-decker, a son in Worcester who found out his mother in South Meadow hasn't been upstairs in weeks.

I drive out, measure the staircase, and hand you a written quote honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
