Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Pickaway County

Pickaway County, OH

The blocks closest to the Pickaway County Courthouse — Court Street, East and West Mound, North and South Main — hold the city's oldest housing stock: 1880s Italianate two-stories and Queen Anne Victorians with original pine treads, narrow 7.5-inch step depths, and quarter-landing turns near the top. Northwood Park, north of US-22, is the postwar 1950s-1970s ranch and split-level pocket where most of our straight-rail installs go in. Pinnacle Club on the east side runs to 1990s two-stories with 36-inch carpeted runs and 90-degree upper-landing turns. South of town near Logan Elm Village we cover farmstead conversions, and east of the Scioto River the housing shifts to mid-century brick bungalows. We also serve Ashville, South Bloomfield, Kingston, Commercial Point, Williamsport, and Tarlton.

South Main Street colonial — straight rail on original oak treads

South Main Street, OH Installed March 2026

A 1955 colonial on South Main Street with original oak treads kept in shape for nearly 70 years. We bolted the rail into the tread wood, matched the rail finish to the existing oak tone, and parked the beige seat at the bottom landing where it folds flat. Mrs. Hartley rode it up to the second floor three times before we left. Fourteen feet of rail, three and a half hours.

Pinnacle Club two-story — curved rail at the upper-landing 90-degree turn

Pinnacle Club, OH Installed February 2026

A 1990s two-story in Pinnacle Club on the east side, modern open-plan interior with a single 90-degree turn around a half-wall at the top of the stairs. We laser-scanned every tread, fabricated a custom curved rail to match the turn radius, and parked the brown seat at the upper landing outside the master suite. Mrs.

East Mound Street brick cottage — straight rail on limestone-tile treads

East Mound Street, OH Installed January 2026

A 1920s brick cottage on East Mound Street, two blocks off the courthouse circle, with light limestone-tile treads on a tight stairwell only 32 inches wide. The brown-upholstered seat parks at the bottom next to a walnut sideboard Mrs. Franklin's husband built in the 1960s. We anchored into the masonry with stone-rated bolts, kept the tile face untouched, and finished in three hours. Compact-profile rail, ten feet, no carpet involved.

North Court Street raised porch — outdoor lift on six concrete steps

North Court Street, OH Installed December 2025

A raised front porch on North Court Street with six poured-concrete steps between yard and front door. Mr. Bowman fell on icy steps last January and avoided his own front entrance the rest of that winter. We mounted an outdoor rail with stainless anchors, sealed the motor housing to IP54, and fitted the cream UV-resistant seat at the bottom step.

Northwood Park split-level — straight rail with swivel-exit seat at the upper landing

Northwood Park, OH Installed November 2025

A 1968 split-level in Northwood Park with carpeted stairs from the lower family room up to the main living level. Warm-brown carpet matches the upholstered seat tones — a textbook straight-rail run. Mr. Morrison had knee replacement the week before. The swivel-exit seat rotates 90 degrees at the top so he steps onto level landing tile, not the top tread. Three hours, back upstairs the same day.

Logan Elm farmstead conversion — indoor inclined wheelchair platform lift

Logan Elm area, OH Installed October 2025

A converted farmstead near Logan Elm Village south of town where Mr. Wagner uses a power wheelchair full-time and cannot transfer to a seated lift. We installed an indoor inclined wheelchair platform on the main stairway: flat black anti-slip deck, yellow safety edges, white wall-side handrail. He rolls on, presses one button, rides up to the bedrooms with the chair. Capacity 600 lb. Two prior companies said no solution existed.

Common Questions

Everything Circleville Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in Circleville right now?

Straight rails in a standard Circleville two-story home run $2,800 to $5,500 fully installed. Curved rails — needed for Victorian-era homes on Court Street with quarter-landing turns and 1990s two-stories in Pinnacle Club with upper-landing 90-degree turns — run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is custom-fabricated to your exact staircase geometry. Every quote is written, itemized, and honored for 30 days. The quote covers rail, seat, installation labor, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Is the in-home assessment free in Circleville?

Yes, completely free and no obligation. Luis measures your staircase, photographs the geometry, identifies the right rail type for your home, and leaves you with a written quote the same day. For curved-rail projects in Circleville's Victorian homes near the courthouse circle, that measurement data goes directly to fabrication — so the visit is a working appointment, not a sales call. Take the quote, review it on your own schedule, and call us when you're ready.

Are there financing options if I can't pay upfront?

Yes. We work with three lending partners offering 0% APR for qualified buyers and low fixed-rate plans starting from $79 per month. The credit application is a soft pull — no impact to your score — takes about four minutes, and typically returns a same-day decision. Many Circleville homeowners combine financing with Ohio PASSPORT waiver coverage or VA HISA grant funds to bring net cost down. We model the math during the free assessment.

Does living in a rural Pickaway County area affect my price?

No. Our equipment pricing is uniform across Ohio — we do not apply a rural surcharge or travel fee for Pickaway County. What can vary is labor complexity: Victorian-era curved fabrication for narrow stairwells, coordination with older electrical panels, or nonstandard riser heights in century-old homes near Court Street. Every variable that affects your total cost appears on the written quote before any work begins.

A word from Luis

Circleville is the kind of Ohio town where families stay for generations. The houses around the courthouse circle on Court and Mound date back to the 1880s — steep pitches, narrow tread widths, original pine that homeowners have been protecting for over a century. The postwar additions in Northwood Park and the 1990s two-stories in Pinnacle Club are more forgiving in geometry, but many have enclosed stairwells with tight bottom-landing clearances. I measure every one of these individually because no two staircases in an older Ohio town are the same.

What most Circleville families don't know is that Ohio's PASSPORT waiver covers home modifications — including stairlifts — for residents 60 and older who meet Medicaid eligibility and nursing-home level of care criteria. The home-modification cap rose to $15,000 per calendar year as of March 2026. The program runs through the local Area Agency on Aging. I walk through the application during the assessment and coordinate with the AAA directly. If you are a veteran, we also handle VA HISA paperwork through the Chillicothe VAMC for up to $6,800. Between the two programs, many Circleville homeowners pay little or nothing out of pocket.
