Stairlift Service Across San Bernardino County

San Bernardino County, CA

From the 1990s tract homes of Butterfield Ranch — where the standard 14-tread carpeted run is the most common install we do in Chino Hills — to the hillside lots of Rolling Ridge with steeper stair pitches and views of the Santa Ana Mountains, from the newer builds of Vila Borba (2,700-to-3,500-square-foot homes with open-tread floating staircases that require special bracket mounting) to the established family homes of Fairfield Ranch and Gordon Ranch, our team has mapped every staircase pattern in the city.

Butterfield Ranch two-story — straight rail on original oak treads

Butterfield Ranch, CA Installed March 2026

A 1994 Butterfield Ranch two-story with dark oak treads and decorative iron spindles on the open side. Mrs. Nguyen's mother had moved in from Vietnam two years ago and the 14 steps to the upstairs bedrooms had become the reason she stayed downstairs all day. We bolted a beige-seated straight rail into the oak treads without touching a single spindle, parked the chair at the bottom landing, and Mrs. Nguyen's mother rode upstairs to her own bedroom that evening. The HOA approved in seven business days using our pre-templated packet.

Rolling Ridge hillside — curved rail around a 90° upper landing

Rolling Ridge, CA Installed February 2026

A Rolling Ridge hillside home with a sweeping staircase and a 90° turn at the upper landing that opened onto a carpeted hallway. Mr. Park had a stroke in December and couldn't navigate the turn safely with a walker. We laser-scanned the curve, fabricated a rail that bends around the half-wall balustrade, and installed a brown-upholstered seat that parks at the upper floor so he steps directly onto the hallway. The curved rail section is flush against the balustrade — their daughter said it looked like it came with the house.

Gordon Ranch — compact straight rail in a cozy tile-tread entry

Gordon Ranch, CA Installed January 2026

A 1992 Gordon Ranch home with tile treads, a wooden sideboard in the entry hall, and a narrow staircase between the front door and the upstairs master. Mrs. Delgado is 79 and had been sleeping in her grandson's room downstairs for four months. The compact space meant every inch counted — we fitted a brown-upholstered seat with a folding footrest that tucks flat against the sideboard at the bottom landing. She rides past the family photos on the wall twice a day and says it feels like the house is hers again.

Outdoor

Los Serranos hillside — outdoor stairlift on a stone-paved front entry

Los Serranos, CA Installed December 2025

A Los Serranos hillside home with a raised front entry, six exterior stone steps, and a covered porch that bakes in the afternoon sun from April through October. Mr. Gonzalez is 83 and had fallen on the entry steps twice in one summer — the smooth stone gets slick when the landscape sprinklers overshoot. We installed a cream-seated outdoor rail with UV-coated hardware, a sealed motor housing rated for the inland heat, and weather-resistant upholstery that stays touchable even in August. He rides from the driveway to the front door without touching a step.

Fairfield Ranch — straight rail on carpeted stairs with swivel-exit

Fairfield Ranch, CA Installed November 2025

A 1998 Fairfield Ranch two-story with 14 carpeted treads, a small landing at the top, and a hallway that turns immediately right. Mrs. Chen's father speaks Mandarin and her sister in San Jose joined the assessment by phone while Mrs. Chen translated on-site. We installed a brown-upholstered seat on a straight rail with a swivel-exit that rotates 90° at the upper landing so her father steps off onto the tiled hallway floor with both feet level. The seat color matches the carpet tones — he's ridden it every day since November without issue.

Platform Lift

Vila Borba — indoor wheelchair platform for a split-level entry

Vila Borba, CA Installed October 2025

A 2019 Vila Borba home with a split-level entry — the garage and in-law suite sit five steps below the main living floor. Mr. Sharma uses a power wheelchair after a spinal injury and the builder's original plan assumed stairs would never be a problem. We installed an inclined platform lift with a flat anti-slip deck, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white handrail along the indoor stairway. The orange-toned accent wall frames the platform when it's parked at the lower level. Mr. Sharma rolls onto the deck, rides to the kitchen, and joins his family for every meal.

Common Questions

Everything Chino Hills Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Chino Hills right now?

Straight rails in standard Chino Hills two-stories run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for L-shaped landings and Rolling Ridge split-levels run $9,000 to $15,000. Outdoor models run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, HOA paperwork assistance, and first service visit.

Are prices different in Chino Hills than other Inland Empire cities?

Equipment prices are the same across San Bernardino and Riverside counties. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: open-tread floating staircases in Vila Borba, hillside-pitch compensation in Rolling Ridge, and HOA paperwork scheduling windows.

Does HOA approval really add time in Chino Hills?

Less than expected. California's FEHA requires HOAs to grant reasonable accommodations for documented disabilities. We submit ARC packets and typically get approval in 5-10 business days. We keep templates on file for the largest Chino Hills communities.

Any hidden fees for homes in 55+ communities or condos?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires its own engineer's letter or formal ARC meeting. If that happens, we tell you before we start.

A word from Luis

Most Chino Hills families call me because the two-story they bought in Butterfield Ranch or Rolling Ridge fifteen years ago is now the house where Mom or Dad can't get upstairs anymore. The kids' old bedrooms are on the second floor. The master is up there too. And the stairs that felt like nothing at 55 are the reason someone sleeps on the couch at 75.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. I bring the HOA packet for your community — I've already been through most of them.
