Bestseller

The workhorse of Casas Adobes ranch homes — from the original Nanini subdivisions to the 1980s tracts along Oracle Road. Over 65% of the stairlifts we install in the northwest Tucson corridor are this model. A single straight run, the rail bolts directly into your stair treads through tile or concrete (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next monsoon-season power outage. Every Casas Adobes install ships with high-heat lubricant and sealed gear housing against desert dust as baseline. Most installs wrap in under four hours.

Starting at $3,200 installed

What's Included

  • Battery backup for power outages
  • Swivel seat with safety lock
  • Two wireless remote controls

Stairlift Service Across Pima County

Pima County, AZ

From the mid-century ranch homes of Casas Adobes Estates — where Sam Nanini's original 1950s adobe-brick construction meets modern accessibility needs — to the Westward Look Estates custom hillside homes requiring weather-sealed outdoor rail engineering, our team has mapped every staircase in the 85704 corridor.

We know which Catalina Village split-levels need curved rails, which Samalayuca Estates homes have narrow mid-century stairwells where rail profile matters, and which Casas Adobes Terrace and Casas Adobes West tracts from the 1970s–1980s have wider stairways that install in three hours flat. We also cover Oro Valley, Flowing Wells, Marana, and the Catalina Foothills at the same rate — no travel surcharges. SaddleBrooke and Sun City Vistoso HOA submissions are already templated.

1958 Casas Adobes Estates ranch — rail anchored through original Saltillo tile

Casas Adobes Estates, AZ Installed March 2026

A 1958 Nanini-era ranch in Casas Adobes Estates with original Saltillo tile treads on the interior staircase to a converted upper bedroom. Mrs. Moreno, 84, had been sleeping in the den for five months because the tile stairs were too slippery after her cataract surgery. We pre-drilled with masonry bits, set stainless expansion anchors through the Saltillo without cracking a single tile, and bolted a straight rail that parks flush at the bottom landing. Luis conducted the walk-through in Spanish at the family's request. She slept upstairs that night for the first time since October.

Catalina Village mid-century — curved rail through a split-level landing

Catalina Village, AZ Installed February 2026

A 1962 mid-century modern in Catalina Village with the classic split-level floor plan — five steps from the entry to the living area, a landing turn, then seven more steps to the bedroom wing. Mr. Hartman had been using both handrails and pausing at the landing for two minutes between flights since his knee replacement. We laser-scanned the geometry, fabricated a curved rail that rides the full run in a single continuous track, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the upper landing. The slab had settled about 5/16 of an inch over 64 years — we shimmed the brackets to compensate. One ride, no transfers, no pausing.

Samalayuca Estates — compact straight rail beside a wooden sideboard in a cozy mid-century hallway

Samalayuca Estates, AZ Installed January 2026

A 1964 architect-designed mid-century modern in Samalayuca Estates with stone-tile treads and a compact stairway flanked by a wooden sideboard and a potted desert fern. Mr. Novak, 79, wanted a rail that would not dominate the cozy traditional hallway. We specified the slim-profile straight rail in a warm bronze finish to complement the original ironwork, bolted into the stone treads with expansion anchors, and mounted on the wall side so the seat parks flush beside the cabinet. The folding footrest tucks completely out of the walking path. He still hosts his monthly poker game in that entry and nobody has mentioned the lift.

Westward Look Estates — desert-rated outdoor rail on a stone-paved porch entry

Westward Look Estates, AZ Installed December 2025

A custom hillside home near the Westin at Westward Look with a raised stone-paved porch entry — the only way into the house from the driveway. Mrs. Aldridge, a retired teacher, had been using the garage side door and climbing through the laundry room to avoid the front porch steps after her second hip surgery. We anchored a weather-sealed outdoor rail into the natural stone paving, UV-coated the cream seat fabric for the intense northwest Tucson sun, and sealed every component against monsoon rain and 110°F+ surface temperatures. The rail ran through the full 2025 monsoon season without a service call.

Casas Adobes Terrace — bilingual walkthrough for a multigenerational household

Casas Adobes Terrace, AZ Installed November 2025

A 1976 ranch in Casas Adobes Terrace where three generations share the house — grandma upstairs, daughter and grandchildren on the main level. The carpeted stairway runs from the tiled ground-floor landing up to the bedrooms. Luis walked Sra. Delgado through every button in Spanish, twice, at her request. We fitted a standard straight rail with a swivel-exit seat at the top, the brown upholstery blending naturally with the carpet tones. The folding footrest tucks out of the way so the grandchildren can still run up and down around her. She called us two weeks later to say the grandchildren now race her to the top.

Platform Lift

Casas Adobes West — indoor wheelchair platform lift for a converted attic staircase

Casas Adobes West, AZ Installed October 2025

A 1980s ranch in Casas Adobes West with a converted attic that added a second floor and a staircase too narrow for a standard seated stairlift with a wheelchair transfer. Mr. Yazzie uses a wheelchair full-time and cannot transfer to a seat. We installed an inclined wheelchair platform lift with a flat anti-slip platform, yellow high-visibility safety edges, and a white handrail — mounted on the indoor stairway beside the warm terracotta walls. The platform rides the full flight so Mr. Yazzie rolls on at the bottom and rolls off at the top without ever leaving his chair.

Common Questions

Everything Casas Adobes Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in Casas Adobes right now?

Straight rails in standard Casas Adobes ranch homes — the mid-century Nanini builds in Casas Adobes Estates, the 1970s tracts in Casas Adobes Terrace, the single-story ranches along Oracle Road — run $2,700 to $5,400 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for any split-level landing, converted attic staircase, or Westward Look Estates hillside entry, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Desert-rated outdoor models for raised patios, hillside entries, and pool-deck access run $4,200 to $7,800. Every written quote is honored for 30 days and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit plus a 6-month dust-check.

Are Casas Adobes prices different from Tucson or Oro Valley?

Equipment pricing is the same across Pima County — we do not inflate quotes for a Westward Look Estates or Catalina Village address. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: shimming rail brackets on mid-century homes where the slab has settled unevenly over 60 years, custom slope calculations for hillside outdoor entries near the Westin resort, and compact-profile specifications for narrow 1950s stairwells in the original Nanini subdivisions. Every line item is on the written quote. No surprise surcharges.

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every Casas Adobes and northwest Tucson assessment can be conducted entirely in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and handles consultations across Pima County in either language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is available in Spanish. Zero surcharge.

Is there a charge for the 6-month dust-check service visit?

No — the first-year dust-check is built into every Casas Adobes install at no extra cost. Monsoon haboob dust gets into rail gearing in ways that coastal salt and Midwest ice never do — and Casas Adobes sits right in the path of the northwest Tucson dust corridor. We come back at the 6-month mark, clean the gear housing, re-lubricate with the high-temperature synthetic, inspect the battery and motor seals, and confirm everything is running to spec. After the first year, annual service plans start at $149.

A word from Luis

Most Casas Adobes families call me after a near-miss on the tile stairs of a mid-century ranch — a slip on the Saltillo tile coming down from the master suite, a father who stopped going upstairs after a hip replacement, a daughter in Phoenix calling because her mother fell on the split-level landing last Tuesday and didn't tell anyone for three days.

My promise is simple: I'll be at your door inside 24 hours, I'll measure once, and the written quote is good for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En espanol si lo prefiere.
