Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Hernando County

Hernando County, FL

Brookridge's 2,400 manufactured homes sit behind gates off SR 50, with most built between the 1980s and early 2000s — predominantly two- and three-bedroom units with 3-4 entry steps. Sections near the country club feature wider lots and attached garages; homes off Denmarsh Drive and Scepter Avenue are more compact, often with narrower interior staircases. Nearby High Point and Timber Pines are comparable 55+ communities with similar stair geometries. West toward the Gulf, Hernando Beach and Weeki Wachee have older raised homes on pilings where outdoor stairlifts solve a real access problem. We also serve Downtown Brooksville's historic district, where 1920s frame-vernacular homes often have steep interior stairs that curved rails handle cleanly.

High Point, FL Installed April 2026

Common Questions

Everything Brookridge Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a straight stairlift cost for a Brookridge manufactured home?

A straight rail for the typical 3-to-4-step entry on a Brookridge manufactured home starts at $2,800, installed. That includes the rail, carriage, seat, battery backup, and labor. No hidden trip charges — we're based in Hernando County and don't charge travel fees for Brookridge. If your home has a second interior staircase — say to a Florida room or bonus bedroom — that's a separate rail quoted during the free assessment.

Does living in a manufactured home community affect stairlift pricing in Brookridge?

No, it doesn't. The stairlift price is driven by rail length and whether the stairs are straight or curved — not by whether the home is site-built or manufactured. Brookridge homes have consistent stair widths (32-36 inches) and standard rise/run, so installs are predictable. A straight rail on a 3-step entry costs the same in Brookridge as it does in Timber Pines or High Point.

What's the price difference between straight and curved stairlifts in Hernando County?

Straight rails start at $2,800; curved rails start at $9,000. The difference comes from the custom fabrication — every curved rail is bent to match your exact stair geometry after a 1-hour laser measurement. Curved installs are more common in the two-story frame homes of Downtown Brooksville's historic district than inside Brookridge itself, where most staircases are short and straight.

Do you offer financing for Brookridge residents on fixed retirement income?

Yes — financing starts at $79/month with approved credit. Many Brookridge residents use this to spread a $2,800 straight-rail install across manageable monthly payments. We also walk you through the HISA grant application ($6,800 for service-connected veterans) and Florida's SMMC-LTC Medicaid program during the free assessment, so you know every option before you commit.

A word from Luis

Brookridge is a place I know well — I've probably measured stairs in 200 of these manufactured homes. The typical unit has 3 or 4 steps up from the carport and another short staircase inside to a bonus room or guest bedroom. Most were built between 1980 and 2005, so the stair widths are consistent — about 32 to 36 inches inside, which is plenty for a standard rail. The residents here are practical people. They don't want to leave a home they own outright on a quarter-acre lot with no lot rent. A stairlift keeps them in the community they picked 20 years ago.

What I tell every Brookridge homeowner: your manufactured home's subfloor can handle the rail bolts just fine. We bolt to the treads, not the wall framing. The HOA here is reasonable — they've never blocked an install as long as the rail stays inside the home or within your lot line for outdoor units. Most of my Brookridge installs are done by lunchtime, and the homeowner is riding up and down before I leave.

— Luis Ramírez, Brookridge
Your Next Step

Ready to get started? It's simple.

Brookridge sits on Florida's Nature Coast about 20 miles east of the Gulf of Mexico and 50 miles north of Tampa — close enough to the VA hospital on Bruce B Downs for a same-day appointment, far enough that the roads stay quiet. The community has its own golf course, clubhouse, and pool, and nearly 60% of residents are over 65. Entry steps on manufactured homes don't have to force a move out. A straight rail covers them for $2,800, installed in about three hours, and the HOA has never stood in the way of a properly permitted install.

Call Luis for a free in-home assessment. He'll measure your stairs, check the subfloor, and give you a firm quote before he leaves — no travel fees anywhere in Hernando County, from Brookridge to Hernando Beach to downtown Brooksville.
