Stairlift Service Across Suffolk County

Suffolk County, NY

Babylon Village — pre-war and postwar homes with narrow staircases and original hardwood treads. Rail installs here require color-matched finishes and careful tread anchoring. Proximity to the Great South Bay means outdoor installs get full marine-grade coating.

Lindenhurst — block after block of 1950s–1960s Cape Cods with steep, narrow staircases to the upstairs bedrooms. We carry the slim-profile rail on every Lindenhurst call: 12–13 treads, tight walls, homeowners who want the rail invisible when parked.

West Babylon — split-level ranches north of Sunrise Highway dominate. The 90° landing turn in these 1960s splits is where we install the most curved rails in the town.

North Babylon & Deer Park — 1960s–1980s colonials with wider staircases. Standard straight rail, under three hours. Many multi-generational households installing lifts for parents who live upstairs.

1957 Lindenhurst Cape Cod — beige seat on dark oak stairs, slim-profile rail

Lindenhurst, NY Installed March 2026

A 1957 Cape Cod on a tree-lined Lindenhurst block — the same stairs Mrs. Murphy has climbed every day since her parents bought the house in 1963. The dark oak treads and narrow stairwell required the slim-profile rail and careful color matching. We matched the rail to the original oak and bolted the beige-seat track into the treads without touching the banister or the wall.

90° landing turn in a 1964 West Babylon split-level — one rail, zero transfers

West Babylon, NY Installed February 2026

A 1964 split-level on the north side of Sunrise Highway. Four steps from the foyer to the living area, a 90° turn at the mid-landing, then nine more to the bedrooms. We digitally scanned the staircase, fabricated a single curved rail, and installed in one afternoon. The brown-seat chair parks flush at the upper landing and swivels for a safe hallway exit.

Babylon Village pre-war home — compact rail beside the original wooden sideboard

Babylon Village, NY Installed January 2026

A 1938 home in Babylon Village with stone-tile entry treads, a narrow stairwell, and a built-in wooden sideboard at the base of the stairs that Mrs. Sullivan's late husband built in 1971. We mounted the brown-seat rail along the opposite wall, cleared the sideboard with room to spare, and added a folding footrest so the chair parks flush when not in use.

Raised entry near the Great South Bay — marine-grade outdoor lift

Babylon Village, NY Installed December 2025

A 1950s ranch three blocks from the Great South Bay with a raised front entry and stone-paved exterior steps. We mounted a cream-seat outdoor lift with the full marine-grade package: epoxy rail coating, 316 stainless fasteners, sealed IP55 motor housing. Mr. Kowalski is a Korean War veteran whose Northport VA HISA grant covered the majority of the cost.

North Babylon colonial — carpeted stairs, swivel-exit at the top landing

North Babylon, NY Installed November 2025

A 1972 colonial in North Babylon with 14 carpeted treads and a landing at the top. The brown-seat model matches the carpet tones, and the swivel-exit rotates 90° at the upper landing so she stands on the hallway floor, not the top step. Her MLTC Care Manager wrote the stairlift into the service plan and the state paid the provider directly.

Indoor wheelchair platform for a Copiague split-entry home

Copiague, NY Installed October 2025

The Ramirez family's father uses a power wheelchair after a stroke. The Copiague split-entry home has five steps from the garage level to the main floor. We installed an inclined platform lift with yellow high-visibility safety edges and a fold-up deck. The NHTD waiver covered the full cost — the family never wrote a check. The platform has run daily for six months without a service call.

Common Questions

Everything Babylon Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift cost in the Town of Babylon right now?

Straight rails in standard Babylon homes — the Cape Cods in Lindenhurst, the colonials in North Babylon, the two-stories in Deer Park — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails for split-level landing turns common in West Babylon run $9,000 to $15,000. Outdoor models for raised entries near the Great South Bay run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different on Long Island than in the city?

Equipment prices are the same. What differs is the licensing: Suffolk County requires its own Home Improvement Contractor license, separate from the NYC DCWP license. Make sure any installer you talk to holds the Suffolk County HIC — a contractor licensed only in NYC is not licensed on Long Island. Ours is on file and visible on every written quote.

Does the marine-grade coating for waterfront homes cost extra?

No. Every outdoor install in the Town of Babylon ships with marine-grade epoxy rail coating, 316 stainless fasteners, and a sealed motor housing as baseline spec. The Great South Bay and the Atlantic salt air will destroy an uncoated outdoor rail in two seasons. We don't charge it as an add-on because it's not optional here.

My Lindenhurst Cape Cod has a very narrow staircase. Will a stairlift fit?

The 1950s and 1960s Cape Cods across Lindenhurst have a remarkably consistent staircase — narrow, steep, usually 12-13 treads. We carry the slim-profile rail on every Lindenhurst call because we know the specs before we walk in. Minimum clear width is 28 inches wall to opposite rail. Luis measures during the free assessment and tells you on the spot.

A word from Luis

Most Babylon families call me after a near-miss on the stairs in a Cape Cod or split-level that's been in the family since their parents bought it in 1962. The stairs are narrow, the carpet is original, and the parent who climbed them every day for 60 years is suddenly having trouble with the last three steps to the bedroom.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
