A single straight run, the rail bolts to your stair treads (never into the wall), the seat and footrest fold up out of the way, and the battery backup keeps you moving through the next summer thunderstorm outage. Most intown and post-2010 townhouse installs wrap in under four hours.

Our Coverage Area

Stairlift Service Across Fulton County

Fulton County, GA

From the craftsman bungalow belt — Virginia-Highland, Candler Park, Inman Park, Grant Park, Kirkwood — where the conversation is almost always about preserving original oak banisters and heart-pine treads, to the 1920s and 1930s estates of Buckhead along West Paces Ferry, Tuxedo Road, and Habersham, where curved rails have to thread past preservation-sensitive millwork older than the state building code, our team has mapped every neighborhood in the city. We know which Marietta and Sandy Springs subdivisions have the landing swivel that only works with a swivel-exit seat, which Old Fourth Ward and West Midtown BeltLine townhouses have the wide post-2010 stairs that install in three hours flat, and which West End and Vine City Victorian homes fall inside the Atlanta Urban Design Commission's review jurisdiction for any exterior accessibility work.

Because the metro spans 29 counties across two CSAs, we also staff dedicated coverage for the OTP ring — Marietta, Sandy Springs, Roswell, Decatur, Brookhaven, Dunwoody — so you never wait on a tech driving up from Macon.

Straight

1911 Virginia-Highland craftsman — straight rail on original heart-pine treads

Virginia-Highland, GA Installed March 2026

A 1911 craftsman bungalow two blocks off North Highland Avenue with original heart-pine treads and a quarter-sawn oak banister the family has polished every spring since 1948. Mrs. Whitfield's first sentence was that we were not allowed to touch the banister. We bolted the track into the stair treads only — the banister, the spindles, the newel post, and the heart-pine risers were never contacted by a drill bit. The slim-profile rail tucks flush against the wall when the chair is parked at the upper landing. Her neighbor came over for tea a week later and didn't realize there was a lift until Mrs. Whitfield rode it down to answer the door.

1968 Marietta split-level — curved rail through the 90° OTP landing

Marietta, GA Installed February 2026

A 1968 split-level ranch in Marietta — the most common staircase we measure outside the Perimeter. Six steps from the foyer to the main living level, a mid-landing with a 90° turn, then eight more steps to the bedrooms. A straight rail was impossible. We laser-scanned the staircase on the first visit, custom-fabricated a curved rail that rides the full run in one continuous track, and installed a swivel-exit seat at the upper landing so Mrs. Branson steps off onto the hallway floor rather than the top tread. The red-clay foundation had settled about 3/8 inch over 58 years — we shimmed the rail brackets to compensate. One ride, no transfers, from foyer to bedroom.

Decatur front porch — weather-sealed outdoor lift, VA HISA funded

Decatur, GA Installed January 2026

A 1942 bungalow in Decatur with a raised front porch, seven exterior concrete steps, and a Georgia pine dropping needles on everything below. Mr. Harper is a Vietnam vet who qualified for a HISA grant through the Atlanta VA Medical Center — we prefilled VA Form 10-0103, the prescription came from his VA provider in three weeks, and the install was authorized the following week. Every component is sealed against Georgia humidity and UV-coated against the long North Georgia summer. We added a desiccant pouch inside the rail cavity because HVAC cycling drives condensation, and a pine-needle brush guard on the rail. It has run through a full summer of Atlanta thunderstorms without a service call.

Sandy Springs colonial — heavy-duty lift, 600 lb capacity, post-surgery recovery

Sandy Springs, GA Installed December 2025

A 1985 Sandy Springs colonial with a formal center-hall staircase and a homeowner who had a hip replacement scheduled at Northside Hospital. Mr. Calloway is 6'2" and 310 pounds, and no standard model was the right specification. We installed the heavy-duty reinforced frame with a 22-inch padded seat and a 600 lb capacity — enough overhead for a safe, comfortable recovery ride morning and evening. Mrs. Calloway also uses it when she's carrying laundry from the main floor to the master closet upstairs. The install wrapped in a single afternoon, and Mr. Calloway rode it home from the hospital nine days later.

Old Fourth Ward BeltLine townhouse — narrow stair, slim-profile rail, three-hour install

Old Fourth Ward, GA Installed November 2025

A 2016 townhouse two blocks off the BeltLine near Ponce City Market — post-construction wide treads but a narrower-than-standard stair width of 30 inches between the wall and the handrail. Ms. Osei had a knee replacement scheduled at Emory Midtown and wanted the lift running before she came home. We specified the slim-profile rail and a compact folding seat that clears the narrow passage with room for her adult son to still pass on the stairs. Measured on Monday, installed on Wednesday. She rode it home from the hospital eight days later without touching the stairs.

1924 Buckhead Colonial Revival — curved rail past 100-year-old walnut millwork

Buckhead, GA Installed October 2025

A 1924 Colonial Revival off West Paces Ferry Road with a formal curved staircase, a walnut banister the family had refinished in 1981, and two landings before the second floor — a quarter-turn off the foyer and a full-landing transition to the upper hall. The stair is architecturally significant and the family made clear no spindle was to be touched. We digitally laser-scanned both landing transitions, fabricated a custom multi-landing curved rail in 13 days, and installed it in a single day without disturbing a single original detail. Mrs. Ellison still hosts her garden club monthly on the upper floor.

Common Questions

Everything Atlanta Homeowners Actually Ask

Straight answers about cost, installation, and funding — no sales fluff. Browse by topic or call us if you have a question that isn't here.

What does a stairlift actually cost in metro Atlanta right now?

Straight rails in standard metro Atlanta homes — the two-story colonials in Sandy Springs, the bungalows in Grant Park, the townhouses off the BeltLine — run $2,800 to $5,500 installed. Curved rails, which you'll need for most 1920s Buckhead homes, Inman Park craftsman split-landings, and 1960s OTP ranch split-levels, run $9,000 to $15,000 because the rail is manufactured to your exact staircase geometry. Outdoor and humidity-sealed models for raised front porches and kudzu-shaded side entries run $4,000 to $7,500. Every quote is written, honored for 30 days, and includes installation, rail, seat, battery backup, and the first service visit.

Are prices different in Atlanta than other Southern cities?

Equipment prices are the same across Georgia — we don't inflate quotes for Buckhead or West Paces Ferry addresses. What varies slightly is install labor for unusual conditions: historic home banister preservation in Inman Park or Grant Park, HPC and Atlanta Urban Design Commission paperwork windows, and compensating rail mounts for foundation-settled treads in older intown homes. We tell you the line items upfront. No surprise "Buckhead premiums."

Do you charge extra for Spanish-language service?

No. Every metro Atlanta assessment can be conducted in Spanish at your request — Luis is bilingual and has walked dozens of families along Buford Highway through every line of the paperwork in their preferred language. Every printed quote, consent form, and operating manual is also available in Spanish. Zero surcharge. For the Hispanic community in Doraville, Chamblee, and Norcross, it's how we should have always done business.

Any hidden fees for HOA or 55+ community installs?

Our quote includes the HOA paperwork we handle for you. We've worked with the Del Webb communities in Gwinnett and Cherokee counties, Sun City Peachtree down in Griffin, and 55+ associations from Dunwoody to Peachtree City — the reasonable-accommodation letters are already templated. What can add cost (rarely) is when a board requires its own engineer's letter or asks us to submit to a formal ARB committee. If that happens, we tell you before we start — not after.

A word from Luis

Most Atlanta families call me after a near-miss on a steep set of craftsman stairs — a slip on the original heart-pine treads in a Virginia-Highland bungalow, a parent who hasn't been upstairs in weeks after a knee replacement, a daughter in Boston worried about her mother in a Buckhead Colonial she's lived in for 50 years.

My job is simple: drive to your house within 24 hours, measure once, and give you a price that's honored for 30 days. No pressure. No upsells. En español si lo prefiere.
